Offer Characterization and qualification


The companies eligible to enter the GTO are three, four and five star Hotels, Tour Operators and Tourism Associations.

 

For the hotels, a specific scheme has been designed in order to determine both the location and the type of services offered to customers. The system exclude all those services considered to be  standard and regulated by Laws, while taking into account all those services and facilities that make a structure ideal for meeting customer demand market target.

 

With regards to other accommodation facilities, other parameters have been set to allow recognition of market segment that each structure is most suitable for:

 

  1. Archeologic and Cultural Tourism
  2. Sport and Leisure Tourism
  3. Religious Tourism
  4. Beach Tourism
  5. Welfare & Thermal Tourism
  6. Business & Conference Tourism
  7. Student Tourism

 As per the customer segmentation, the scheme refers to specific services implemented to fulfil specific customer needs making the facility ideal for:

  1. Singles
  2. Middle aged
  3. Juniors
  4. Students
  5. Families
  6. Companies
  7. Disables
  8. Seniors


Requirements for applying to the Grand Tour Operator circuit have been identified in order to implement a characterization, qualification and selection scheme.

 

 

The questionnaire, to complete on line, is divided in four sections:

 

  1. Personal details Section: containing personal information vital to identify the property correctly. It includes Property Name and address as well as First and Last Name of the person applying to the Grand Tour Operator circuit.
  2. Property Section: indicating the type of structure and its category; number and type of rooms, type of facilities provided (restaurant, bar, swimming pool, beach, Garden, Park etc.) outdoor facilities available, other infrastructures access and additional services offered.
  3. Logistic Section: containing information regarding location of the property, accessibility with public and private transports, its proximity to main religious cult places, tourist attractions and other amenities.
  4. Promotion Activity Section: containing all specific information for customer segmentation suitability (example: to select a hotel with children facilities, the Hotel should provide playground  area, child care service, high chairs, cots and baby beds. 

With the compilation of the questionnaire is allocated an automatic score that allows the qualification and characterization of company. The information filled in the questionnaire is vital to allocate the right scoring and allows qualification and characterization of the company.

 

The scheme consist in giving a General Score related on the allocation of the property, a  Specific Score related to typology of tourism and a Specific Score related to customer typology.

 

The scheme also takes into account the relationship between themes and target to verify the adequacy of the responses and deepen the level of knowledge of offers. For example, if in the Property section the answers is "yes" to a question concerning the presence of an equipped beach (useful for the definition of target primary bathing) the following answer, on the allocations bathing facilities, allows to identify the theme (for example by answering "yes" to question zone of diving/Snorkeling).


For Tour Operators and other Associations information concerns the type of tourist product on sale. The questionnaires are divided into: Personal Data Section containing data necessary to identify the subject, name and address of the company including the name of the person of reference; Service Section with indication on type of most prevalent Offer, of the main terms of sale of tourism product, tourist areas in which it operates, type of service and assistance provides to customers. Local Tourist offer Section: with information concerning the main destinations and the characterization of commercial offer for the territory of Region Lazio.

 

The registration to the grand tour operator is subject to reaching a minimum score established by an internal regulation awarding the applicants as associated Hotels/Operators.  The minimum score is established in Regulation section and differ according to hotel, or tour operators or associations.
